A man who had the nerve to threaten another person with kidnap and even make demands, has found himself in more trouble than he bargained for.                         Abiodun Joshua, a suspected kidnapper, has been arrested by the police in Lagos. 


The man who specializes in sending threat messages of kidnap to extort money from members of the public was apprehended by policemen attached to Lion Building Police Division.

According to Daily Post, the suspect met his Waterloo when his usual means of swindling people failed, after he demanded N37 million from a businesswoman, Mrs. Oseni Omolewa, to prevent her from being kidnapped.

The businesswoman, who resides at Igbosere area of Lagos Island, alerted the police saying that suspect has been calling her claiming to be a kidnapper threatening her to send N37million to prevent her and her children from being kidnapped.

While confirming the arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the suspect was apprehended after he demanded N37 million from the victim, claiming to be a kidnapper.

“The victim said someone has been calling her to deposit N37 million into an account number to prevent her from being kidnapped and her children,” she said.
